The Rev. Catherine Garlid has joined Maine Medical Center as director of pastoral services. She previously worked at Greenwich Hospital in Connecticut, where she was director of spiritual care and pastoral education for 27 years.
Mark Bundner has joined Maine Medical Center as director of hospital applications. He previously worked as the director of information systems at Meriter Health Services in Wisconsin for nearly 20 years.
Troy Murphy of Cape Elizabeth has been hired at Synernet, one of the state's largest support-service organizations to the health care industry, as director of sales and marketing. He served in sales and marketing for a number of different companies.
Dr. Cornelius "Neal" Yetman has joined Pen Bay Internal Medicine. He held a faculty appointment with Harvard Medical School from 2006 to 2009, having earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Hank Emerson of Paris has been named director of development for Skanden Energy. He has more than 20 years' experience in sales and sales management, an extensive manufacturing background as well as construction experience.
Greg Dauphinee of Yarmouth has been hired at Northeast Bank as a sales manager and mortgage loan officer. He has extensive experience in lending and mortgage planning.
Jeff Davis has joined Town & Shore Associates as a broker and owner. He has more than 16 years of career experience with various designations earned. He is the former president of the Portland Board of Realtors.
Gwen Rogers has been promoted to the director of infection prevention and hospital epidemiology at Maine Medical Center. She has worked at the hospital for 16 years, is nationally recognized for her expertise and edits "Infection Control in the Physician's Office," considered the definitive handbook on infection control in physicians' offices.
Mark Lodge has been promoted to vice president of regional operations at Downeast Energy & Building Supply. He has been with the company for more than 24 years, working most recently as general manager of the South Portland and Yarmouth offices.
Ryan Morrison of Portland has been promoted to manage Scottrade's Portland branch office. He previously served as a senior stockbroker for the company in Port Richey, Fla.
AWARDS and RECOGNITION
Dora May Bragg of Yarmouth was honored at New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland for 20 years of service. She retired from her one-room salon, where she had worked on Tuesdays, providing patients with hair care. She interacted with the clinicians in scheduling the patients and would often be seen pushing the wheelchair of a newly coiffed and smiling client on their way back to therapy.
Al Barthelman has been elected president of the board of directors at Kids First Center, a Portland-based nonprofit whose mission is to help parents keep the needs of their children in the forefront during separation, divorce and remarriage.
Springborn Staffing has completed the acquisition of WorkSource, a staffing firm in Bangor. Springborn President Laura Thibodeau said it is a great fit for the company's brand.
