landinmaine says,
Farming..is big. When you consider in the early 1800's 96% of us were farmers..and with 2-3% of the population now farming, growing more and more and getting bigger bigger, it's no wonder small hobby self sufficient farming is on the increase. Folks tired of being pinned to a wall by an office desk and worrying about overhead to live with uncertain job future are heading to the country, the rural areas of the country. Maine is prime with 11 people per square mile in Northern Maine's Aroostook County..and plenty of high production, low cost real estate to boot!
