David McLain regularly shoots feature length assignments around the world for National Geographic Magazine. He describes his job as "working with every kind of person under any kind of condition to create timeless images for clients with the highest visual standards on earth."
Simply put, He tells authentic stories that engage people and inspire them to dream.
David lives with his family in a 200 year old farmhouse with a big post beam barn on 2 beautiful acres just outside of Portland, Maine, a place that has always triggered a instinctual sense belonging in him. His family, his home, and Maine ground him and fuel his boundless sense of possibility.
Join the Maine Island Trail Association (www.mita.org) at Lincoln Canoe and Kayak on Wednesday, December 9 as David shares with us some of his favorite images taken while kayaking the coast of Maine over the last decade.
