Released 11/19/09The Maine Council of Churches (MCC) is pleased to announce that “Christmas in Maine,” the music CD featuring Maine artists performing traditional Christmas songs and “The Maine Christmas Song,” is being offered this holiday season as a special benefit for the Council. Thanks to a special arrangement with Maine native Con Fullam who wrote “The Maine Christmas Song” and produced the CD, MCC will receive $7.50 of each $15.00 CD sale.
“We are excited to share this beautiful music that ushers in the joyous Christmas season and showcases the many talented Maine artists including Grammy winners Noel Paul Stookey and Paul Sullivan,” says MCC Executive Director Rev. Jill Saxby. “During these challenging economic times we are especially grateful for the proceeds from the CD sales which will benefit our economic and environmental justice and human rights advocacy work and projects related to these issues.”
Christmas in Maine includes Don Campbell, the Windham Chamber Singers and Schooner Fare. “The Maine Christmas Song” is performed both in English by Malinda Liberty and in French by Melanie Dorice Saucier.
