Maine citizens can now access EBSCOhost® databases from MARVEL (via smartphones or other handheld devices. Maine citizens with low bandwidth or satellite links from home will benefit from a simpler interface for increased speed and convenience.

With more people today having mobile devices and expecting a lot of functionality from their equipment, all databases and services currently available through MARVEL’s EBSCOhost will be available via EBSCOhost Mobile, accessible on the most popular smartphones (iPhone, Blackberry , Dell Axiom, Palm 750) and mobile devices.

EBSCOhost Mobile provides a convenient way for Maine citizens using mobile devices to find quality content. The main EBSCOhost Mobile screen offers a number of options including choosing which EBSCOhost database(s) to search plus setting search options and specifying preferences.

Many of the existing EBSCOhost features such as search modes, email results, limiting to full text, date ranges, peer-reviewed content or by publication are available. Users will also be able to search images from their mobile devices.
How to get started?

Login to MARVEL at www.maine.gov/marvel/ and then choose “EBSCOHost Mobile” under “E” or point your device directly to http://libraries.maine.edu/mainedatabases/authmaine.asp?db=ehm. You will be prompted for your username or password if you are not in a public library or school.
