Released 10/26/09First Ever Natural Spring Water to be Bottled Straight from the Ground Without Filtration or Treatment
Harrison, ME (October 26, 2009) – Summit Spring (www.summitspring.com), the bottled water company based out of Harrison, Maine that recently announced the release of RAW WATER, the first-ever spring water to be bottled directly from the source without any filtration or treatment whatsoever has partnered with Raw Foods and Spring Water advocate Daniel Vitalis (www.danielvitalis.com) to bring RAW WATER to the LOHAS (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) and Raw Foods community.
“The fact that the State of Maine granted us this approval was a giant step,” said N. Bryan Pullen, President of Summit Spring Water. “But the immediate and overwhelming response from the Raw Foods and LOHAS communities has been exceptionally heartening. Daniel and I share a common vision and from the first day we met have worked toward bringing this exceptional product to fruition. Daniel’s groundbreaking work in the Raw Foods community convinced me the time was right to do something dramatic. Our love for glass coupled with our desire to bottle water in as natural a state as possible led us to RAW WATER.”
Summit Spring gathers its water from one of the oldest and most revered natural free-flowing springs in North America, and has been celebrated for its uncommon purity since the beginning of its recorded history in the late 1700s. The new product, RAW WATER, is nutrient rich, “living” spring water, possessed of essential minerals and gravity fed straight into a clear glass one liter bottle. The glass bottle is then placed immediately into a recycled-content brown paper bag to protect it from sunlight’s corruption and spoiling, further preserving the taste and clarity of the water inside.
“There are naturally occurring nutrients in ‘living’ spring water, such as microscopic algae, potassium, sodium, magnesium and calcium that are routinely being stripped out of most bottled waters through treatment, reverse osmosis and filtration,” notes N. Bryan Pullen, President of Summit Spring Water. “When untouched spring water comes straight from the Earth it has nourishing qualities that are not present in purified and treated water, which parallels the benefits of a Raw Food diet and appeals to that community,” he said.
Raw Food experts such as Daniel Vitalis have long taught of the importance of clean water sources and have been proponents not only of Summit Spring’s pristine water but also of their uncommonly sustainable production & bottling methods.
“Summit Spring has demonstrated a surprising dedication to both creating a health-promoting water product as well as to sustainable production,” Daniel Vitalis said. “The product has always been about health, both for those who drink it and the environment. RAW WATER only takes that dedication to another level, and now for the first time, we are able to deliver to the public the most intact and natural water commercially available anywhere,” he said.
Summit Spring is located 750 ft. above sea level, is surrounded by pristine Maine forest and has been protected for centuries from man’s contamination. The unspoiled spring flows naturally, producing some of the purest source water on the planet – and unlike most bottled water, Summit Spring will go straight into the bottle, mere minutes after bubbling from the Earth with a natural purity only Mother Nature’s filtration process can provide.
This revolutionary product features a unique packaging concept, with language focusing on the great care that has been taken to protect and preserve the integrity of Summit Spring, making it possible to deliver raw water of this quality to consumers. The decision to undertake RAW WATER is in response to growing worldwide interest in raw food and natural products and concern over chemical treatments, disease and contamination of our food and water sources.
Summit Spring’s RAW WATER will be carried by a number of natural and health food stores and markets in the Northeast, including Portland, Maine’s Whole Foods Market however, in order to expand its reach, Daniel Vitalis, creator of SurThrival will carry RAW WATER for sale on his own website.
“It just makes sense, Vitalis said of the partnership. “In order to offer this remarkable water to the LOHAS community, we needed to be able to distribute beyond just the North East. Taking the water online will help get this product to a wider community of people who are seeking alternatives to polluted municipal water and non-sustainable bottled waters,” he said.
Raw Water bears no nutrition label, as there is none required by the U.S government for 100% spring water that is pure, natural, untouched and untreated.
