Released 10/15/09Scarborough, ME – The Landing at Pine Point, located at 353 Pine Point Road in Scarborough, will host on Friday, October 30 its inaugural "Shipyard Pumpkinhead Bash."
The festive, 21+ event will feature music by DJ Greg Powers, who will spin music spanning the decades from 70s classics to today. A heated cigar tent will be on site, and several cash prizes will be awarded for best costumes. The evening will also feature a drawing for four tickets to The Landing’s December 31 New Year’s Eve gala. Halloween specials on Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale and martinis from The Landing’s new cocktail list will be offered all evening, as well as a variety of Halloween treats for guests.
The Landing, a 15-minute drive from Portland, is offering a round-trip transportation option for event guests, as well. A shuttle will leave the Portland Park & Ride (I-295 Exit 7, near Marginal Way and Franklin Arterial) at both 8 pm and 9 pm, with return rides at 11:30 pm and 12:30 am.
Doors open for the bash at 8 pm. Tickets are $20 per person, plus $7.50 for the round-trip transportation option. Tickets may be purchased by calling (207) 774-4527 or visiting www.thelandingatpinepoint.com/events.html.
“Tickets are moving quickly, so we’re expecting to host a pretty full house,” said Jim Ciampi, owner of Cityside Events and The Landing at Pine Point. “Our Pumpkinhead Bash is sure to draw a great crowd - we’ll have something for everyone.”
“We’re encouraged by the following we’ve developed since our launch this past May,” Ciampi added. “It’s been pretty interesting to see the response we’re getting from the range of live acts we’ve got on our calendar, and to our martini lounge-style atmosphere.”
