Released 9/30/09Lewiston, September 30, 2009 – Marc Daigle of Dresden is the winner of a $1,000 scholarship courtesy of the Maine Advantage Education Loan Program. Marc, a freshman at Unity College, is majoring in Environmental Sciences.
The drawing was sponsored by participating members of the Maine Advantage Education Loan Program, a student loan program managed by FISC Solutions. Maine Advantage members include community banks and credit unions located throughout the State of Maine. The scholarship drawing was open to Maine students attending an accredited post secondary institution for the current academic year.
In the past the Maine Advantage Education Loan Program has offered some of the lowest cost programs around, while maintaining reliable relationships with its borrowers. Most borrowers return to the program for their ongoing educational loan needs. Information on the Maine Advantage Education Loan Program can be found online at www.maineadvantage.com. The website offers students and parents access to information not only about the Maine Advantage Education Loan Program, but also on the entire financial aid process.
