The Power of the Pack
So, what’s in it for me?
You might “bust your butt” for your company only to be passed over for a promotion or a raise. You may dedicate yourself completely to your business and find yourself with little or nothing to show for years of hard labor and sacrifice.
What’s the point?
Last post I talked about the Power of the Wolf. When the organization supports the success of each individual, the power of the organization is increased exponentially.
The rest of the story is: Each individual in an organization must have some stake in the success of the organization. The successful individual supports the success of the organization…
…even when that support is not producing tangible results!
Your individual efforts are never wasted as long as you have a clear vision of personal success. Develop a personal “business plan” that includes the pros and cons of whatever you’re doing in your present position. Your vision of personal success will help keep you focused on where you’re going. With this positive focus, you’ll be more aware of opportunities and you’ll see value in tasks and activities that may have future value.
You may decide that your current organization is not where you’ll be in one, two or five years. Still, your current organization might provide opportunities for training, learning and experience that would be difficult, if not impossible to get on your own.
Take full advantage of every opportunity. Add to your Personal Power reserves of knowledge, goodwill and financial resources as you explore bigger and better possibilities.
Who knows? Your efforts may change your current environment into one that supports your personal vision of success. If not, you’ll move on enriched by your experience and energized for your next venture.
If you’re fortunate enough to be involved with an enlightened organization, your efforts will serve your personal goals, increase your personal power and benefit you and all your associates.
