There’s a lot of rhetoric being fired around lately about radicalism. Are you a radical? Do you go to extremes to further your cause?
Are you a Radical Entrepreneur? I recently obtained a classified document that was not intended for release to the press or public. To protect innocent lives, I will not reveal the source of this document or name anyone who could be implicated in any conspiracy to further entrepreneurism in America. I simply felt obligated to share this with you; despite serious threats to my own personal safety:
Profile of the Radical Entrepreneur:
Likely to assume extreme personal risks to start or expand a business.
May have above average personal unsecured debt used to fund entrepreneurial efforts.
Has taken a second mortgage or has re-financed a home to support business.
Has at one or more times paid federal and state taxes in a year where cash flow is negative, but due to inordinate honesty in bookkeeping procedures, the business reports a paper profit.
Has great difficulty accepting or acknowledging authority in a professional capacity; refuses to work for or under others as direct subordinate.
Has a masochistic tendency in dealing with customers or employees, often sacrificing personal needs and security for the good of said customer or employee.
Works far beyond the accepted norm of a 40 hour workweek, often approaching 60 to 90 hours in a given week.
Has experienced temporary bouts or chronic periods of gastrointestinal distress related to business and professional activities.
Typically maintains close associations with other Radical Entrepreneurs through networking groups, professional associations and business social networking.
Despite extremely full schedules, will often participate in additional community activities, support charitable causes and donate time and money to non-profit groups at times well beyond rational means.
Practices an extreme devotion to the principles of self-reliance and personal responsibility; sometimes extending to an obsessive expectation that others should also be self-reliant and responsible, particularly in the workplace.
Typically a consumer of personal or small group health insurance plans and may at times even pay out of pocket for health care expenses.
In periods of hardship and desperation, likely to express seemingly inexhaustible positive attitude and focus on what can be done to improve conditions.
Can be an enthusiastic recruiter by openly displaying loyalty to the cause and training other recruits to be self-reliant, successful and positive.
So, do you fit the profile? Are you a danger to the society of mediocrity that has infected American culture?
If so, then join with other Radical Entrepreneurs to launch the real next American Revolution. America was founded by entrepreneurs dedicated to creating a society where people could fully enjoy the fruits of their own labor.
We’re in a tough spot right now, but I’m confident that we’ll survive and prosper. My confidence comes from the fantastic energy I feel from the Radical Entrepreneurs I meet every day. As entrepreneurs, you’ll guide us to the new era of success and happiness available to anyone willing to pay the price: hard work, discipline and personal responsibility!

Linda Snyder says,
While I certainly - enthusiastically, wildly, achingly, foolishly - fit this profile, my experience is that most entrepreneurs are just as passionate about their companies.
And if that company fails despite one's absolute best efforts? The passion just refocuses onto the next one.
The Radical Entrepreneur is an embodiement of how we live and breathe. We are born this way. We live this way. And will go to our grave, kicking and screaming because there's still so much left to do!
