I am an independent insurance agent representing Aflac. During these tough economic times, and with the debate about health care reform, the good thing about Aflac programs is that this is the time where we make the most sense. I was a paramedic for 16 years in Massachusetts, and my family decided to re-evaluate our priorities. We moved to Saco to be closer to family here, and I needed a job where I was able to have income but stay home more with our son. Running a business from home made the most sense and what Aflac had to offer was perfect. We help people by providing plans that pay cash benefits over and above health insurance, directly to people. And we show businesses big and small how they can offer these plans to employees without costing them anything. Our competition in the area, when compared apples to apples does not match up. We beat them in customer service, rate stability, financially, and ease of administration. Aflac has been awarded most Ethical Insurance company and most Reputable Insurance company the last three and two years in a row respectively. Our competition has never even come close. Again, in these tough times, Aflac makes the most sense. The Saco/Biddeford area has not had an agent there for a long time and it's good to know I get a chance to show people that Aflac is different, and I'm a local guy ready to help my community.
