Released 11/3/09The Fall Session of the Tender Living Care Program (TLC) – A Program of Hope and Healing for Families Affected by a Serious Illness – begins its 7-week session on Monday, November 30. From the point of diagnosis when illness affects the whole family – the Tender Living Care (TLC) program can help.
The Groups are for children ages 3-18, young adults 19-30, adults with illness and adult caregivers. Children, teens and adults find a safe place where common issues and feelings can be explored in age appropriate groups. Spending time and having the support of others going through similar experiences penetrates the sense of isolation that many feel.
If you are interested in joining this free program, please call or email Carol Sylvester, TLC Program Coordinator, at 775-5216 or carol@cgcmaine.org to schedule an intake and a tour of our facility prior to November 30.
Tender Living Care is a program of the Center for Grieving Children and has been supporting families in transition since 1988.
The Center for Grieving Children’s mission is to provide loving support to grieving children, teens, families, and the community through peer support, outreach, and education. We provide a loving community to foster the discovery and development of each child’s own resiliency and emotional well-being. We are on the web at www.cgcmaine.org
