Released 6/23/09Augusta, ME – The Maine Restaurant Association is pleased to announce a cooperative effort with Performance Foodservice - NorthCenter to promote Maine restaurants. A major distributor of groceries and supplies for foodservice establishments, Performance Foodservice - NorthCenter has co-branded a tractor trailer delivery truck with the slogan “Dine Out Often, You Deserve It”.
“We’ll be sending the truck on different delivery routes each day,” said Bill Bolton, Vice President of Sales for Performance Foodservice - NorthCenter. “Today Portland, tomorrow Bar Harbor, next week Bangor. The goal is to remind locals and visitors in all corners of the state that dining out is a valuable part of the Maine experience.”
Maine Restaurant Association President Dick Grotton concur. “It’s so important during these challenging times to remember that our restaurants are an integral part of Maine’s – indeed the nation’s – economic engine,” said Grotton. “We can support business owners, wait staff and dishwashers who earn their living in the restaurant industry while enjoying a great dining experience with family and friends.”
