Momentum is Building in Freeport!

Momentum is building as Freeport prepares for another strong, action packed summer season. With a wide variety of new stores to shop, restaurants to dine and many things to see and do, you'll want to put spending time in Freeport on your list of things to do this season!

From any vantage point in Freeport you’ll be pleased to see the hustle and bustle of construction-architects, builders, electricians, masons, painters, plumbers, landscapers designers…you name it… it’s happening in Freeport as we ready for the season. Freeport is definitely not recession proof but Freeport is definitely proof that the recession does not bring everything to a stop.

Here is a sample of what’s happening in Freeport:

Opening mid-May, Freeport Village Station is home to more than 120,000 square feet of new stores and restaurants and over 550 undercover parking spaces just waiting for you to explorer.

Included in Freeport Village Station:

Brooks Brothers will open their second Freeport location on May 16th in the new Freeport Village Station and will continue to offer a wide product assortment in their Bow Street location – Be sure to visit them both!

Nike is also opening May 16th with a host of events including a meet and greet with Joan Benoit Samuelson. Don't miss this opportunity to meet a true American pioneer and hero!

A week later on May 23rd the Freeport Merchants Association will host the AAA Member Appreciation Day to recognize and reward AAA members and celebrate the opening of the L.L. Bean Outlet and Coach at the Freeport Village Station.

Linda Beans Perfect Maine Lobster Roll will open their second Freeport location in the Freeport Village Station in late May.

For a complete list of openings at the Freeport Village Station check their website, www.onefreeportvillagestation.com. Hours of operation for Freeport Village Station will be Monday through Saturday 10am - 10pm and Sunday 10am - 6pm.

In and around Freeport:

Cole Haan has just opened their newly renovated open sell concept store that boasts a tremendous inventory of high end luxury footwear and accessories at your fingertips – give yourself ample time to browse and enjoy the assortment.

Summer Shades will open at 25 Bow Street in mid-June with the most complete selection of designer sunglasses you will find.

The Maine Embroidery Shop is already open on Independence Drive and is looking forward to your custom order.

1912 Café is open in the L.L. Bean Flagship Store. Check out their selection of natural and organic style menu featuring creative soups, salads, pizzas and sandwiches.

Freeport Chowder House will open in May with a complete menu that is guaranteed to please.

The Lobster Cooker on Main Street and the Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster in South Freeport are open for the season.

If that is not enough the Cabaret –Freeport’s Bar and Bistro has changed its name to Venue- Music Bar & Bistro. Check it out-you will not be disappointed!
